I was prompted to write this blog today because of what I see and hear going on throughout the world in regards to Christianity. As I searched through various news channels and You tube videos to collect the latest information on the persecution of Christians in the middle and Asia this past week, I suddenly developed a 'fire' in my heart and 'righteous anger' towards the evil that has fallen upon my brothers and sisters-in-Christ' !
If you are like me there comes a point in your life (several in my case) where you just have to say..."enough of this"...and you begin to take a stand for whats right. Those who have lost their lives simply for being "born-again Christians" are the focus of this blog. Their courage and bravery for not denying the name by which we are called is extraordinary! These men and woman and in some cases, little children have each stood for what is right...the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Certainly here in America we don't face this kind of persecution, yet, but I am of the opinion that this kind is coming to our shores. Just this week a 'street-preacher' was arrested and hauled off to jail because he was using a bull-horn and preaching the gospel in a public place. That's NOT against the law but, yet, he was arrested for that very reason. Astonishing in some ways but, actually, not surprising. Jesus already warned us that the world would hate us just as it did him during his lifetime here.
Whether its the extreme kind of persecution or that which is only by the words of others, we must be prepared to face it. We are called by God to face it and to stand with courage! The phrase, "man-up", comes to my mind and in many ways, the men in our churches, homes and work-places have to be the ones who carry the banner, or the torch if you prefer, for the 'one' who took it all and nailed it to his cross, which should have been my cross.
It's his love that compels us to go forward and take a stand.
As we look at our society here in America and compare it to any other society in the world, it would be easy to shake our collective heads and say..."not in this country"...we are too civilized for that. Really? Just look around, folks. The persecution is here NOW and its only growing into the type that our brothers and sisters in the mid-east have been subjected to for years.
Are you prepared? Am I prepared? Can the church of our savior survive in America or do we need to adopt a new religion? Many may be asking that very question under the pressures created by the media and culture. Let me be clear on this. Its not a new religion or a revolution that is needed nor do we need a 'sugar-pill' to sweeten the facts. It is a great, lasting revival that will shake us up and bring what we need. A heart-wrenching, soul-stirring revival for every believer!
So to end this article I would like to add the familiar statement by someone I consider to be a close friend (even though we have never met) Mr. Gary Stearman, who says..."keep looking Up", and watch for the most glorious return of the King Of Kings and Lord of Lords on the horizon.

Stinger #Deux
Its been said over and over again...Can He still 'go'? The man (wrestler) known as Stinger has finally embarked on an avenue of his long career with a current stint in the WWE. This is well-known throughout the wrestling world, not anything new but certainly very well-received by his throng-of-fans!
To answer the previous question if he can still 'go' all one has to do is view the impact of his few appearances on WWE programs. Though he hasn't actually wrestled in a match yet, he has been physically involved, Just ask WWE exec and star, Triple HHH, if Sting made an impression on him. When you add the massive fan-reaction at the live-events and on the internet, it seems as if we have gone back to 1997 again! Wooooooo!
Without re-hashing his phenomenal career-stats we can concentrate on the
incredible impact this man has made upon his fans lives. His popularity rivals that of great names such as Hogan, Flair, Rhodes and Hart. Many younger fans have the same painted-up faces and exhibit the same type of endless energy as their hero!
Certainly Sting has left his 'mark' wherever he has been. In WCW he was established as the 'Icon' but his earlier career began in the mid-south area and one of those areas was in the Jerry Jarrett Promotion in Tennessee. Along with Jim Helwig, who as everyone knows, became the Ultimate Warrior, Steve Borden launched-out into the unknown world of professional wrestling.
One could say that his beginnings as a pro-wrestler left 'much to be desired' when watching him and Helwig in the ring. They certainly had much to learn but it wouldn't take long. Later, under the tutelage of Eddie Gilbert, the duo began an assault on the UWF. Success was on the way, even though it would not be instant!
WCW was good for Sting and his stardom would move him to newer levels of popularity. Many championship-belts would come and several career-changing matches! His face-paint was altered and took on many radical-looks throughout the years. The Jeff Jarrett promotion, TNA, saw an array of styles and design with reds, greens, blues and certainly black trimming the contours of Stinger's face.
As a fan of wrestling, and of the Stinger in particular, I am enjoying his effect on the WWE-Universe now and I look forward to seeing how he is used and to what extent his trademark character will leave upon those who have just been introduced to him.

What About Those UFO's?
It seems like this entire week my thoughts have been occupied by the subject of ufo's once more. I have spent many hours in thought and study about the phenomenon and I have to admit that I've learned more than ever before about the subject.
No matter how many books or articles have been written on UFO's, I am continually intrigued by the amount of information which reveals itself from every point-of-view. Whether scientific, natural or spiritual, the subject-matter never comes across as boring or nonsense.
Its only in the last decade that the subject has been given at least a bit more respect than the previous years! For most of the 21st century UFO's have been considered taboo for serious scientists' and comical ridicule for others who denied the evidence presented and the personal, eyewitness accounts by airline pilots, state-police, local police officers and government officials!
Despite the unbelief of many people, the factual evidence of UFO's (there is much that is documented) continues and is not effected by unbelief! These craft, whether physical or inter-dimensional, dart through our airspace and zig-zag from one point to another in seconds. Hardly the maneuvers of any conventional aircraft we know of.
There have been documented traces left of landings in different parts of the world and on many occasions, cattle mutalations are also connected with these. Its a very interesting addition to the phenomena and one that causes great concern for many researches, not to mention the farmers who own these cattle.
My mind has raced back to my own personal sighting at the age of 11. My brother and I were walking on a nearby street, just across from our house, and we both spotted what we thought was a falling star at the time. It was a warm, clear summer evening and probably around 8 or 9 o'clock.
As we were walking we both watched this 'falling-star' come across the sky to the right of us at an angle toward the ground. It glowed bright yellow with what seemed like a tail on it and streaked from right to left in front of us. As we looked on, expecting the object to hit the ground I'm sure, it made a sudden stop and just as quickly went in a vertical line down to the ground.
It couldn't have been more than a few miles from us, it seemed.
We just looked at eachother, as I recall, with bewildered expressions on our faces and I don't remember us talking about the event much at all. It left a very tangible impression upon my mind and since then I have been unable to ignore this subject!
The fact that I have written many times about UFO's and watched program after program on the subject only increases my desire to learn more and to bring forth as much information as I can for those who have the same passion and the same drive.
As I write this blog I realize that there will be much more to write and many more hours spent studying and pondering UFO's. It will only increase the questions we all have and the realization that we don't know as much as we think we do. That's ok though, because for me, the fun and excitement is in the search and research. It's in the knowledge that I don't have to have the answers, just the desire to learn and write!
I look forward to what this new year of 2015 will bring to the phenomenon and what my contribution may be. Only God Almighty has the answers to our questions and we would do well to listen to what he is saying to us.
Onto the next sighting and the next adventure.......
